Terms of Service

By creating a BillQ account, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you disagree with any part, do not use BillQ.
1. About BillQ
BillQ is a mobile billing application developed and operated by Sembian Technologies, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. BillQ provides digital billing, receipt printing, and business reporting tools for small businesses in India and Malaysia.
2. Who can use BillQ
- You must be at least 18 years old to create a BillQ account.
- You must be using BillQ for legitimate business purposes only.
- BillQ is currently available for businesses in India and Malaysia.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- One mobile number can be associated with one business account.
3. Your account
- Your account is created using your mobile number and verified via OTP.
- You are responsible for keeping your device and account secure.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@billq.app.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Subscription and payment
BillQ operates on a subscription model with the following plans:
- Free Trial — 7 days, all features unlocked, no payment required.
- Monthly Plan — ₹299 per month, billed monthly.
- Yearly Plan — ₹2,499 per year, billed annually.
- Monthly + Printer Bundle — ₹2,799 one-time (includes printer + 1 month software).
- Yearly + Printer Bundle — ₹3,999 per year (includes printer + 1 year software).
Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. By subscribing, you authorise Razorpay to charge your selected payment method for the subscription amount.
Subscriptions do not auto-renew. You will be notified before your subscription expires and must manually renew.
5. What we provide
BillQ provides:
- Mobile billing software accessible on Android devices.
- Bluetooth thermal printer integration (58mm ESC/POS compatible printers).
- Daily, monthly, and GST reports.
- AI-powered menu scanning via Google Gemini.
- Offline billing with automatic sync when connectivity is restored.
- Cloud storage of your bills and business data.
We aim for 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.
6. What you must not do
- Use BillQ for fraudulent, illegal, or deceptive billing practices.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or exploit BillQ's systems.
- Share your account credentials with unauthorised users.
- Use BillQ to bill for illegal goods or services.
- Overload our servers with automated requests or bots.
- Misrepresent your business information in the app.
7. Your data and content
You own all the data you create in BillQ — your menu items, bills, and business information. By using BillQ, you grant us a limited licence to store and process this data solely for the purpose of providing the BillQ service to you.

8. Printer bundle terms
- Printers are shipped within 3-5 business days of order confirmation.
- Printers come with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
- Warranty does not cover physical damage, water damage, or misuse.
- For warranty claims, contact support@billq.app with your order details and a description of the issue.

9. Limitation of liability
BillQ is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law:
- We are not liable for any loss of business, revenue, or data arising from use of BillQ.
- We are not liable for any errors in GST calculations — you are responsible for verifying GST compliance with a qualified accountant.
- Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
- We are not responsible for third-party service failures (Razorpay, Fast2SMS, Google Gemini, etc.).
10. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account in the app.
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without notice, if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service.
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity.
- Abuse our support team or other users.
Upon termination, your data will be deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or SMS at least 7 days before changes take effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from use of BillQ shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
